Lilla Hagymásy Rosenberg is a multi-media artist with a focus on textile exploration. She is working toward obtaining a B.F.A. from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
She is compelled by memory, and the space it holds in our lives. Her work often starts from ideas of transience and decay, combining them with opulent and time-consuming handwork.
Craft, and meditative practice are essential to her work. Her work often manifests itself in repetition, with the artist creating multiples and improving upon each iteration. Closeness to historical construction is important to her practice, as a way to bridge the gap over the scurf of so much time. Through time work process, she hopes to call attention to the labor and evocative mist that clings to our lives.
Currently, she is exploring questions of belonging and remembrance through stitch and knit. She is based in Savannah, Georgia.

Do our memories belong to us?
Or us to them?
